Situated at the Western end of the spectacular West MacDonnell Ranges, Glen Helen Lodge is the climax to an adventurous and colourful drive, a little over an hour from Alice Springs.

Glen Helen Lodge is surrounded by the majestic MacDonnell Ranges, and is a destination in its own right, with easy day trip access to the whole West MacDonnell National Park, including Palm Valley, Hermannsburg, Ormiston Gorge, Redbank Gorge and Mt Sonder. A one night stay is never enough.

The Internationally renowned Larapinta Trail is right on our doorstep, making it possible to walk sections during the day while sleeping in a comfortable bed at night.

Our specialty is good old fashioned Australian hospitality, and you can look forward to a warm welcome. Glen Helen Lodge captures the authentic Outback style through the restored and enlarged Station Homestead which has a charming relaxed atmosphere.

Enjoy a cold beer at the bar before dining in at our restaurant, or cook a barbeque outdoors while enjoying the sunset. In winter relax in front of a cosy open fireplace, and in summer laze by the swimming pool or the waterhole at Glen Helen Gorge, just a short stroll from the Lodge.

Hike through the ranges on the Larapinta Trail, swim through Glen Helen Gorge, take a lilo up Redbank Gorge or really get a birds eye view of this ancient landscape from a Scenic Helicopter Flight.
Glen Helen is a great location for your tour groups, as we can provide any level of accommodation from motel, through bunkhouse and campsites, as well as offering tasty, value for money options for group meals. We can provide catering for your groups if required, or assist in making your catering set up easier with organising your best location.
