Nature bestowed a range of simply stunning natural attractions on Far North Queensland. The Great Barrier Reef, which gained World Heritage status in 1981, is the largest and most complex expanse of living coral on earth. It extends from north of Cape York to south of the Tropic of Capricorn. Day 6 |
Daintree & Port DouglasWe have a slightly earlier breakfast this morning before heading off to escape into the World Heritage Rainforest of the Daintree and Cape Tribulation National Parks. Our first stop this morning is on the Daintree River where we board the Daintree River Train for a one hour morning tea cruise. Our informative guide will keep on the lookout for crocodiles and birdlife in the wild. From here we head to the Daintree Teahouse for lunch then travel to Port Douglas for some free time this afternoon. We return to Cairns late afternoon with some fantastic photo opportunities along the way. |
