CAIRNS & THE TROPICAL NORTH

Day 5

Great Barrier Reef

Cairns is a major gateway to the Great Barrier Reef - the largest and most complex expanse of living coral on earth. It extends from north of Cape York to south of the Tropic of Capricorn. Nothing you have read or seen on film will prepare you for the reality of its under water coral gardens, its cays and islands and the huge variety of fish, marine mammals, turtles and birds. We join Great Adventure Cruises for our cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef. Here secret gardens of coral and vivid marine life abound. We have plenty of time to explore the wonders of the Great Barrier Marine Park with snorkle gear, an underwater observatory and semi submersibles all at your disposal. A lavish tropical lunch is also included. After a truly spectacular day we return to Cairns
